Addiction is a very skewed concept. There are negative addictions, i.e. alcoholism, and there are positives, i.e. volunteering. Asking this question depends upon your definition of addiction. Do you feel that you would give up your life to have the meds or do u feel like you cannot exist without them? If you say you would give up everything in order to obtain them then it would, in my opinion be a negative addiction. If you feel like you need them to cope with your illness then they are a positive addiction. I hope this helps you.

I don't know if I'd call it addiction... dependence maybe.

If you want off them and try to quit but have such severe withdrawal that you give up ... to me that is physical addiction ...
but I will not argue the point , I could see why someone would call it a dependence, because I really am dependent on them ..

no offence intended just a sore point with me ....

I guess this is all a matter of semantics...but at the end of the day I just feel like I am dependent on them. And I'm fine with that.
