Hello fellow peers, as some of you might know I was recently prescribed wellbutrin again and added to my bipolar cocktail. First of I want to say my mood has been great and I would like to stay on this regiment. Anxiety is rising but I hope to combat it with either a new benzo, same one and or relaxation techniques. My question to you is have you ever experience insomnia on wellbutrin. I do not believe my first go around with wellbutrin that I did, but now mixed in with cymbalta I can definitely say I am not sleeping much. I would like to but I just wake up and i'm wide awake. Last night I got home at 2 am and at 5 am I was awake and still have been. Any insights on anyone who is particually taking the two cymbalta and wellbutrin?

Hi, I've taken Wellbutrin for years and I have insomnia. Insomnia is a major problem for me but it's not related to Wellbutrin for me. It may help if you take it in the morning. xo

as rainyday suggested, i took my wellbutrin in the morning. i wasnt on cymbalta though. wellbutrin is known to jack people up. it didnt do that for me. i always have had problems with insomnia or so i thought. what it turned out was i had a HIGH sensitivity to anything energy inducing. so i had to cut out anything caffienated. no energy drinks. no tea. and those vitamin waters, the b vitamins in there also keep me up at night so i cant drink them either. so see about paying attention to that and limiting energy inducing foods (sugar even) in the afternoon and see if that helps.

Do you take any other sleep meds at night? That might help. I'm battling insomnia right now due to Depakote.

I take my wellbutrin in the morning as well and I am so loving the effects. No lethargy! But my med cocktail at night can put me to sleep, but staying asleep is another story. The Vistaril helps, but there are some days when it doesnt.
