<font color="#000088"> How can I be BiPolar if I don't have a chemically imbalanced induced depressive episodes.I only get depressed when something bad happens that causes me to get depressed.I only get manic phases, but I have ADHD,so wouldn't that explain the mania? Bi means both, when I don't get both chemically in my brain!

Depression can be induced by events in our lives...The following events have been very low times...
Fall of 2004 - Marriage falling apartment - hospitalized twice for certain thoughts Christmas 2004 - left house - filed for divorce October 2005 - Dad Diees December 2005 - Divorce Official January 2006 - Move back into house - ex moves to apartment no idea how to pay 1st and 2nd mortgage May 2006 - find roommate July 2006 - loose job 30 day notice Aug 2006 - new job - new company picked me up still doing same job just new company. Anyway - Depression can be event driven...

You don't neccessarly? have to have depressive episodes all the time....I rarely get depressed, in fact I am more likely to make a joke in a moment of seriousness. The depressive episodes that do occur are very dark...scary and can be sudden but rare.
There is no single discription that fits all bi-polar diagnosis...vary as much as the people that have it...the symptoms are what make up the diagnosis... but mistakes have been made...so get yourself off to another pdoc and get a second diagnosis...or a third if that is what it takes to satisfy the questions you have. Doctors are human and they can make mistakes. You have doubts, so find out as much info as possible. Take Care...Mojo3 |

<font color="#000088"> I have a new PDoc,my old one didn't believe me when I told him my Dad was in the hospital dying, about 8 hours later,my Dad died.I got a new PDoc,because I was worried I would deck my old one in the face for not believing me,and making light of the situation. My new one is pretty cool,I could bring it up to him, cause he's not the one that diagnosed it,I think he would take another look at my records and check it out for me!
