How often do you see your pdoc or counselor? How do you decide this?

Right now I am only seeing a pdoc. Because I am a new patient of his and we are gradually increasing my meds, I have been seeing him every four weeks. He told me that as we got the meds to therapeutic levels, we would gradually increase the length between visits to three months.

When I was seeing a T, I saw her every two weeks. She left it up to me. I chose every two weeks for financial reasons.

I had it last year when I was mixed, and should've been in the psych unit, I was going once a week bouncing from one med to another. When he tweaks my meds 6 weeks. If things are good 2 months. He always tells me to call if I need to get in, and they get me in sometimes that day. I think he purposely keeps open slots each day for emergencies. This schedule was like this with my last pdoc as well. I don't go to a therapist right now, probably should.

I see my doctor once a month because I am on a monthly injection, if I wasn't on that it would be every three months because I'm stable but if I needed to see her more I could. Therapist once every 3 months, and more often when and if it's needed

I usually see my pdoc every three months unless something happens and I need to see him sooner rather than later. When I see my T it tends to be every two weeks depending on what I can afford and what's going on in life. After this episode and I'm stable again, I really should at least see him at a minimum of once a month so I don't slip through the cracks again.

Typically every 3 months. When I was on the Med Merry Go Round maybe every 4-6 weeks, but he also did most all changes by phone.. He isn't one that thinks every thing needs an office visit. I'm thankfully for that.

Every month for an hour. This is because I need pretty constant med changes. We did hit a point last year she said I could try every other month but I didn't want to not have an appointment and cycle and not be able to get in (she has limited appointments because she has another role at the hospital) so I stayed monthly and a few months later definitely needed it so I'm glad I did that.

My old Pdoc seen me every three months, but when she left (I cried last visit with her in a panic that she was leaving) the new pdoc sees me every 6 months cause of the work load. Haven't been to a T in years. The pdoc has to order it before I can see one again, which seems to fall through the cracks when I need it. I think I could use one right about now.

It's definitely hard especially when you feel safe and able to be open with the old one. My new pdoc just writes and asks questions, don't quite feel able to communicate well with him.

Neither my dr or t ever wrote when I was with them. They waited til I left.

I think I'll be ok with the transition since I know my new t and met new np today.

I just have to make it through this month and I'll be good!

I just went through changing docs again too. Worst feeling! It's kind of sad when your psychiatrists keep retiring on you. Lol

I was seeing her weekly when I was in the PHP program, sometimes seeing her 3-4 times in a week if my meds weren't working. Now we moved to monthly because I am out of the program and am mostly stable *if* I take my meds. I still have problems taking them at times.

Once a month. I think once I'm adjusted to my new med changes I'll graduate to every three months. I don't have a therapist.

I see my doctor every three months. But I am seeing him much sooner this time though. I just saw him 1-2 months ago. I am seeing him on Thursday do to my anxiety being really active right now. I feel like I am going crazy because of it.

I am supposed to see my counselor once a month. But I don't always go see him.

Twice a year nowadays. We agree next meeting together according to my current condition.

Also i see a Psychiatric nurse every 2 months mostly to check current situation and have a chat about how life is going in general...

All in public healthcare. Never disappointed me.

I see my pdoc and my t once a week.

I've kind of just come to accept because I'm going through a bit of a rough patch at the moment and they're helping me through it.
