I saw my T yesterday ( Fri.) and we spoke about my irritation and concerns about my pdoc, among other things. My T later spoke with my pdoc on my behalf. Guess what? My pdoc placed a phone call to me & we're trying changing doses of my existing meds first for a week. If that doesn't give the desired results she will then add Seroquel. I discussed my concerns with her as well, that I don' feel like she gives me her full attention during already too short appointments. I've decided that I will look for another pdoc but I haven't told her that. My T said that getting me stabilized is the primary concern here and I agree with that. She also told me that if I decide to switch pdocs , I don't need to give anyone a heads up... but that I should discuss how I feel with my existing pdoc first to see if we can work through this. Since my pdoc again got snooty with me, even though she's tweaking my meds, I decided right then that I'm switching to a new one as soon as I'm more stabilized and can think clearly enough to make the right decision and find the right doc.
Meanwhile, I'm not completely stable right now but I have gotten some sleep so things are beginning to slow down a little bit in my brain. Baby steps, I guess. ![]() |

Right on for being your own best advocate. You are the one in charge of your treatment.

Your pdoc works for you, not the other way around. If she's not serving you well, fire her...it's your right.
