I have been on zeldox/geodon for 5 years. The last few months I have had physical symptoms that have slowly gotten worse. I am wondering if it is a medication reaction?

Started with restless legs and muscles, jaw clenching, nausea, dizziness, depression, cough and chest pain, I'm not sure about temp but I have felt cold and clammy to the touch.

The last 5 daysI have not been able to keep anything down, even liquids and am slowly getting weaker. I have had a few weeks of not being able to keep meds down on and off.

I'm aware these symptoms can be anxiety related and have taken Ativan and clonazepam to no effect on my physical symptoms. I have been sleeping well.

I have a gp appointment tomorrow, but as they are short appointments I'd like to give them a proper idea of what has been going on.

After five years I don't know that you'd begin having side effects of all of a sudden like this. I work in the field and those usually occur at the start and once your body tolerates it you're "good."
Those are def signs of anxiety.
I have bipolar I and anxiety/panic disorder. It sucks when it turns physical.
However, I have seen instances where after prolonged use of the medication they become less effective managing symptoms. Now this isn't something I've seen often but I have come across it. The fact that the Ativan and kpin do nothing must be incredible hard.
It's difficult to diagnose. My advice would be to see your psychiatrist immediately to see if this is possible. I can only imagine the horrible effects those symptoms have had on you and hope you can get them under control asap. I'm so sorry nothing is working to make it go away. The fact that Ativan isn't working is a red flag maybe you need something stronger but I'm not a doctor I want it to go away for you.

Thanks for the reply.

I've been prescribed 10mg of ativan, and up to 6mg of clonazepam PRN. I have only taken those doses a few days each with no effect on my symptoms. I have also taken up to 10mg Zyprexa with no effect on symptoms (but put me to sleep!)

I have had similar symptoms with anxiety, but this feels different. My stomach is constantly gurgling. The anxiety problems in the past have lessened with medication and CBT. I do not know how to CBT this as there is nothing I can identify that I am worried about, besides the symptoms.

I see pdoc every week and she is aware I have been unwell, she wants me off the zeldox as I cant keep it down regularly, but wants me inpatient for it, which I cant do with work. I need to see my meds pdoc but he has moved and I cant find him.

Has anyone else been on it long term and had physical problems pop up?

Add stiff neck and knees and wrists to the list.

I managed my 2 hour walk today without collapsing, but only because I had a friend with me. And I kept a banana down! First thing to stay down in days. I feel very shakey now.

The cough concerns me as it makes me choke on phlegm and I cannot get it all up. I've tried hot showers but then I cant breathe. I do not have cold like symptoms. My chest is very tight and painful and doesnt let up.

I have a GP appointment first thing in the morning (12 hours exactly from now).

I have kept down an apple and some cheese as well and kept down my meds. After some ativan my muscles arnt so sore. Im feeling less shakey now, although still nauseous.

Coughing isnt as bad as it has been, but it is annoying.
