As if having a MI is not enough of a personal HELL, the NT world tend to want to compound that pain and suffering by causing shame and humiliation on top of it! It is one thing to come at ME but when a public school publicly embarrasses my son who is on the autism spectrum over something that relates to his sensory issues I WILL BRING SCORCHED EARTH ARMAGEDDON down on their heads! I am either going to home school him or find a school who has teachers and staff who are TRAINED to teach children with special needs. And THEY WILL be made to feel the same shame that they inflicted on my son by the time I'm done!

I'm so sorry to hear this. I am having difficulties with my special needs kindergartner on the bus. He is really being picked on. For instance an older boy poured water on his lap, making it look as though my son had wet his pants. Something has happened twice within 3 days and they are not doing enough about it. It's not the same, but treatment of special needs children in public schools especially can be unjust. I hope you find justice and those teachers get a taste of their medicine. That is terribly unfair and just horrible! Good luck Mama!

That's horrible. It's going to be hard to find a school right now. If you do decide to homeschool and need help or an ear just pm me.

Oh my God! That is outrageous! I would be completely LIVID! These types of things HAVE TO STOP! PERIOD! Bless your heart! I think it's time we AND our children have a voice! Because apparently, the vast majority of the NTs are more concerned with CHANGING us, than STANDING UP for us! Animal Rights activists have more of a voice than we do! Aren't WE as important as any animal?? I think SO! What has happened to human decency? Humanity? Compassion? I'm sick to damn DEATH of all the bleeding hearts who run to champion causes that have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with the dignity and quality of HUMAN LIFE! I'm about ready to start my own "movement"! One that speaks out for all of us! I'm tellin y'all, I've had it!

I don't understand why people do that nor do I understand people who stand there and let it happen. I was so lucky as a child the only bully I had to deal with was my third grade teacher....yeah the teacher who kept telling the class I needed to be sent to an institution. Thankfully most students still treated me the same. But for an entire school to do that!

Have you checked into the PA(protection and Advocacy) for your area? They are legal advocates for disabled people and do a lot of work on getting children's needs met. Google; protection and advocacy (name of your state). it's a federal organization and there's one in every state.

Sorry I forgot they changed the name to ; DR( disability rights) so for you it would be DRA disability rights Arkansas.

It's mainly a teacher and a resource officer that I'm focused on, but I am rather fed up with the whole school as well. And no, I haven't found the right number for them. Someone gave me a number to report them, but it turned out to be the wrong one. I'll try looking up what you suggested. Thanks so much!
