So I met a few co workers after work and had some drinks. I was a bit drunk but knew I had to take my meds when I got home which is cymbalta, latuda seroquel and blood pressure meds. Am I going to feel it intensified since I drank prior?

I don't take my meds when I drink. I just don't want anything to interact. I don't know if your meds will intensify in effect if you're drunk. I would imagine anything sedating would be even more so.

My nightly regimen is lamotrigine(=Lamictal) and Seroquil, which I take whether or not I've been drinking. It'll make me pretty tired about a half hour after taking them, but I haven't had any rough experiences with it.

That being said, these days I max out at 7-8 drinks spread out throughout the evening. I haven't gotten schmammered since before going on the meds, so I can't speak to whether it's safe or not to cross them while wasted.

I don't drink very often. When I do, it's usually while out at dinner/bars with co-workers (we do fieldwork, so after a long day the whole research group will go out and get a few pitchers). I eat a LOTTT, so I can put away a decent number without getting very messed up.

I had half a beer the other afternoon, it affected me hours later when I took my m dos....I think the reaction is like everything with meds....different for each individual

I know I can't take my klonopin anytime during the day if I am going to drink that night, learned that the hard way. I blacked out and it was like 6 hours before I ever started drinking.

I drank 2 beers and a shot of whiskey one evening and in the middle of it I took my Lamictal. A little later I became withdrawn and tired/lethargic. Even one beer will make me really tired now, then later I feel like **** and I am irritated.

I really feel that it depends on the medication itself hun. I have no problem drinking on the meds that I'm on...like taking pills are going to be able to stop me....but if I was on meds that tired me out on their own like Seroquel does, I wouldn't drink or take that drug.

I choose to not take a drug that "dopes" me because alcohol helps me forget and numbs me to what I've been and is going through.

Be careful sweety.
Thanks for this!

I'm not worried about drinking on meds but I'll skip the sedating ones (seroquel, ativan, etc.) because the alcohol puts me to sleep without them. One missed dose doesn't do anything to me.
