When Christmas rolls around, I am usually in a pit of despair. This year however I've been consistent with my meds for several months which has left me on the more positive side of life. I am ALL about the Christmas spirit this year, even though I don't have a lot of money to spend on gifts, I am feeling extra jolly. How do you guys feel about the holidays?

I just grandiose when it comes to xmas baking. I have like 12 kinds of sweets planned this year :O (four of them already done, some of them baked but not decorated, some doughs prepared and some just in my thoughts )

Which is weird to me, because as much as I like to cook, I am not hausfrau, but I am always outdoing my aunts and other relatives when it comes to xmas baking. (in my country it's sort of competion of who bakes more kinds and I always used to laugh at that)

Sounds fun! Which country are you from? If you don't mind me asking. I'm fascinated with how European countries celebrate Christmas.

I'm having a better year this year than I have seen in almost a decade. I'm enjoying Christmas shopping, even. However, I have a med change coming after the holiday (to get rid of a side effect) so I'm enjoying this while it lasts.
Thanks for this!

When I had my own house, I loved hosting the big holidays, decorating everything that would stand still and overspending on gifts. Last year I had no money at all for gifts or anything else. Now this year I'm having trouble remembering that it's Christmas time because I just came from the Caribbean where there's no such thing as winter.

I don't want to ruin the run here, so I'm heading to the attic to find our Christmas tree.

I've done more decorating this year than I have in years for some reason and most of my shopping is done, just a few small things to pick up this week and planning in wrapping this weekend. I'm enjoying the Christmas Spirit

Christmas is the one thing I get right. It makes me feel like a good mom and wife when I can provide some good Christmas memories. So yes I do feel a little grandiose. On a side note, I have a deep seated fear of not being able to provide Christmas memories.

I'm a single college student so Christmas is usually quiet for me. I do live with my Mom and we decorate, and I'm sure we'll catch Christmas dinner at boston market or something.

If I had a family of my own, I'd do this damn Christmas thing. But, until then, Christmas is a day for sleeping in.
