![]() Good Evening Sirs and Madames, ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Let's cut to the chase here actually, no more funny business. I wanted to start a thread about hallucinations right now because I am having them, right now. I wanted to share the type of hallucination I'm having, the medications I'm taking, the dosages, and what I am "officially" diagnosed with to see if it is normal or not to have them. --I hope you would do the same to help the train going and give some insight. Here we go! I'm a 19 year old female and I'm officially diagnosed with: Celiac disease, Gastroparesis, Bipolar disorder, Major Depressive Disorder, and ADD. Medications
![]() and finally! The type of hallucination i'm extremely having right now is a tactile hallucination. I feel like things are landing on my skin, sometimes they move, sometimes they don't. When it feels like they're moving I immediately check to see what it is. NOTHING IS THERE. What also doesn't help the fact of my situation is that I would say i'm definitely on the manic side at this point. So any suggestions, words of advice, comments, or experiences of you're own you are willing to share? ![]()

i get those tactile halucinations but my anti pyscchotic medication helps,im diagnosed with pyschosis,i woud actualy be diagnosed with schizophrenia but my other labels woudnt allow it for some reason.
just a thought but coud it be one of your medications causing the halucination? you need to see a pysch to ask them.

Every now and then I feel like something is crawling on my scalp. I touch it, nothing is there, it keeps happening. Is this what your talking about? I thought it was a tingly scalp thing. I've never heard of tactile hallucinations, so please forgive me.

Tactile is the worst! I would choose auditory, olfactory or visual over those any day.
Could be because you're manic, or could be a med reaction if anything was added recently. Like MM says, a hot shower is the best relief. Thank God I haven't had those for a while, makes my skin crawl!!! ![]()

Hallucinations are common with many people even those without any sort of psychiatric disorder. As long as it's not interfering with your life and your day to day functioning I wouldn't worry about it. I get tactile hallucinations from time to time; when it happens I always get a fright haha. Also occasionally visual ones in my peripherals or I see bugs crawling on me (this has only ever happened in therapy for some reason! And if I'm being honest I'm not sure if it is real or not gah). But I've never been too bothered by them.
