I've spent the day and last night feeling really sick but very non-specific. Fevers off and on, nausea, runny nose, sore throat, just icky. I was worrying about strep. I no longer am....And why? Well, when it occurred to me to take my meds tonight at 1:15 AM (merely 5 hours after med time) it turns out I didn't take them last night and so I've been in withdrawl for 24 hours. And I didn't sleep because I wasn't sedated. It's amazing I slept the bit that I did last night.
I've been mixed for about a week and have been higher a lot, especially in the evenings which makes me forget things. But I don't miss meds. Pretty much ever. The last time I missed them was 18 months ago and I was on strong pain meds after surgery and fell asleep before med time and didn't wake up until morning. So stupid. I guess now I know that I need to be checking everything I am supposed to be doing. And I'm probably going to be fine in the morning. But how I did this is beyond me. I mean I know, my brain was off on some tangent last night and I was reading some blog from beginning to end tonight because I couldn't remember reading something on it and felt it was the most important thing in the world. But not good. Not at all good. I know perfectly well that I can't do this. So very, very stupid.

Don't feel too bad. Things like that happen! Hugs.

I agree. It happens. Try not to beat yourself up too much about it. We're only human, afterall

I'm feeling better. A little tired and desperately wanting a shower while my water is out for the day
![]() I don't know. I just wish I hadn't messed up. I know it happens but it screws everything up so much and then it takes a while to get it back. With the time change that's a double hit. And now I have to go deal with life without water. I wish I'd known to take a shower when I was awake earlier. Oh well.

I hope you feel better and get back on track. I always hate missing meds, because I feel weird and sick without them.

I've done this a few times and no big deal. I could feel myself get a little irritable and my temper was very short. The second week in Oct I did this and things went downhill fast. I started having manic symptoms (BP1 and schizoaffective). I was homicidal, racing thoughts and anxiety started. I had to go see my doc stat. I cussed out the receptionist and her manager. I was given a sleep aid Haldol and anxiety Ativan.

This has definitely increased the highs in my mixed episode. Although so far today I feel pretty low. So maybe I should say that it's increasing the depths of the mixed episode? Hard to know. I'll find out soon. My body is definitely not so happy though. That's why I'm so careful not to miss meds and to take them about the same time every night (which hasn't been happening with the time change messing me up); my body KNOWS. Not only is there the physical withdrawl from klonopin and I think from being on so much seroquel and then none but there is also always an effect on how I feel.
Oh well, can't undo it now.

I used to mess with mine all the time and had none of those type of issues, now though, I try to be more cautious. I am glad you are feeling better physically and hope you get to the same place mentally.

I do this all the time. As a matter of fact I just realized I didn't take my buspar today *****. O well I'll take my night time dose though. Have you thought of setting an alarm to help? Usually when I miss I don't get withdraw or anything. That usually takes a few days of missed doses for me.

I usually don't need an alarm; it's just ingrained routine. I was thrown off this time because I thought "it's about med time" and it turned out that I was off by several hours because of the time change. Then I got distracted by something my hypomanic brain was focused on and my meds weren't sitting in the usual place because my tv broke and usually the meds are near the tv. Now I have a new tv and the meds are back in the place where they are seen.
I get sick because I'm on routine klonopin at a moderate dose and my Seroquel dose is very high (1200 mg) which seems to be enough my body gets pretty angry when it is skipped. I know I could skip it at a lower dose but somewhere around 800-900 mg that changed and if I skip it I will pay.
