I am new to the site and scored as 66 on the mania test and I feel that I do need to get help but am scared that the professionals would take it way too far as to the extent of help needed I feel like a crisis unit would be sufficient but there is no garentee what should I do

I'm sorry you are going through this. From my own experience I would say that if you know that you need help definitely go with your gut and get the help you need. The longer you wait, the harder it gets to ask for help.

If you feel like getting help, then get it. Make an appt with a therapist or call a crisis line. They can help you determine how much help you need. I do hope you feel better soon.
