I just wanted to write a quick post to touch base. I went IP and after spending three weeks in the hospital, I was discharged today. I did a second round of ECT while in there and I feel a little better than when I went in.

I'm realizing how toxic my anxiety is (it skyrocketed at discharge making me feel worse) and I'm planning to do something about it.

It was mostly a relaxing three weeks and I met some wonderful people. I'm looking forward to catching up on here now that I'm out.

Great to hear from you!
It's good that you finally found some relief and I hope the IP and ECT helped to lessen your depression.

Will you be restarting any meds now or do you still have more ECT first?

Have a great day/night!

Welcome back edgar'smom! Good to hear from you. I'm happy your hospital experience was good and you're feeling a little better. Do you have a med to take for your anxiety? Severe anxiety is awful. I'm more afraid of my anxiety than anything else I have! Anyway, hugs. Missed you and happy you're back!

Welcome back! I"m so glad you had a positive experience. Would you recommend ECT to a person really struggling with anxiety?

I'm so glad that you are back and that it was a positive experience! I hope that you keep feeling better and better as you get a little further out from the ECTs and your body has time to recover fully.

Welcome back!
