Hi! I'm Gloria. I'm new to this site and to Bipolar in general. Doctors have been telling me for 20 years that I was *just* depressed. Umm...how long does someone have to be *just* depressed before someone gets a clue? Oh, oh ...*waves hand in air*...20 years! Okay, so I'm a little bitter.
I started Abilify about three weeks ago...and it's been weird. I have very rarely had to stay home from work (got to love those high functioning-highly intelligent ones) because of my illness and now I'm on leave because of the medication. Is this normal for bipolar meds? Bipolar II? |

Thank you for replying. I'm glad your side-effects improved. It really helps to know there are other people listening. Did your doctor give you any kind of plan or direction on where your medication adventure should be going?

I used to rarely have to be off work too. Now my illness has gotten worse over the years and I seem to spend more time off work than working. It is very difficult so try your best to hang in there.
