HI everyone,

Well, about a month ago I woke up feeling normal again, Just like that. Like flipping a light switch. I fell sharp, incisive, impermeable, impenetrable, invulnerable, super-capable, like superman, i have my force field up and repel everything. I feel like i am 30 again before everything went awry 20 years ago.I dont think i am manic, i don't have pressured speech, delusions, racing thoughts or pent up energy or anger.

I do have a few weird symptoms that i dont know what they are. my forehead feels like it is blasting sonar into the world, like it is my primary sensory organ. My eyes feel like they are floating above my head like i am looking through a periscope.

I dont see my psychiatrist til early next week. Has anyone experienced this? Do you know what this is?

Thanks for taking thew the time to read this, any insight would be greatly appreciated.

This sounds like hypo/mania to me. I know you said you don't have the pressured speech, delusions, etc. but I don't think you necessarily have to have every symptom to be in an episode, especially if it's just starting. From my experience, I get exactly what you are describing before skyrocketing up towards further euphoria, and then come the racing thoughts, fast speech, high energy, etc. I'd say to continue monitoring how you feel.

Agreed. It sounds like hypomania, which can be great, but it's usually the start of a bad episode. I would tell your pdoc and try and nip it in the bud before it turns for the negative.
