Has anyone here ever been stalked?

Have you had a stalker so far along that you thought your family or you would be killed? I'm afraid tell my husband because it would scare him and he would blame it on me. In the meantime I am shaking as I type this.

Cashart10, yes i have been stalked, by my neighbor. He stalked me when my spouse and i were together. He also stalked me when she left in crisis. It got so bad i took the love letters and the postcards and gave them to my therapist to put in my file incase something were to happen to me. Then he says that he is pretty much over the infatuation would i like to be his friend again? I gave his a disbelief look and walked to my bldg and into my apt. I don't have anything to do with him anymore. Any proof that you may have copy and give to a therapist to put on file, and it will be dually noted. tc

Yes my ex husband. I was in a woman's shelter and the police called and asked me to come pick him up after he was arrested for breaking into a house looking for me. The police have since those years have wised up and take stalking much more seriously. Call the non emergency number and talk them about the situation, it's the first step to getting documentation that there's a problem.

My ex-fiance did after I evicted him over his alcoholism and emotional abuse. It ended when the cops told that if he ever steps foot on my property he can be arrested for trespassing. He hasn't been around since, and I haven't seen him anywhere for over six years now.

Yeah, a long while ago. It was a girl I met just out of high school. She became obsessed and wouldn't leave me alone. Years later after I got married she started in again. She kept calling our house asking if I wanted to get together. I ignored the calls hoping she would give up. My wife got tired of it and wanted me to tell her off the next time she called. I agreed with my wife and told her I would the next time she called. When the phone rang I picked it up and started to lay into her but it wasn't her it was her husband. He started going off on me I got furious and laid into him. Thankfully the harassment stopped after that.

I grew up with a girl who I didn't realize had some serious mental health issues until I was too deeply involved to know how to handle it. I did the right things, got her into counseling and AA and ultimately a woman's shelter because she said her husband was abusing her. From there she disappeared for months and re-surfaced with a phone call at 3 AM which became a pattern until I told her to leave me alone (for the first time). I'd think I'd gotten rid of her and she'd do something like trick my sister into giving her my email. A few years ago she kept trying to get me to friend her on facebook and when I didn't went to one of my real friends to get him to try to get me to friend her. Then she sent me messages about how sad her life was and how I should feel sorry for her (these arriving while I was IP and struggling with not wanting to live) until I blocked her. I know she'd still and always will try to contact me if given a chance and she has been told that she's used her last chance and that if she harasses me I will get a restraining order, something she's familiar with from others in her life. Hopefully it never comes to that but she is so disruptive and upsets me so much that I can't imagine ever wanting to deal with her again (and it's very bad for my mental health to try, as I've found out over and over). I could tell so many stories about times she manipulated me but I won't b/c with my luck with her she'd find them, recognize herself, think I wanted to be friends and ruin PC for me (joke).

My ex after we broke up. Once he found out I was seeing someone else he flipped a lid ( serious undiagnosed personality issues) it was scary and ended with me booking it to the police station. At the time he did that he was sleeping with two different girls

Thanks to some wonderful people on here, I have a moderated solution. But, I'm not going to lie, I am still petrified. And, I really can't tell my husband for comfort. I don't think I'll sleep tonight. I feel like this fiasco could be the situation that lands me in prison...although there are no grounds. Lord have mercy...if only I could shut my mind off.

I had a ex who was a stalker. My house was vandalized three time very badly (i was in the country so nobody was around. So I installed cameras and found him prowling around my property. Things out of camera range were taken or destroyed
He had tried to drive me into the side of a bridge and he tried to run me off the highway (into oncoming traffic) quite a few times
Finally when he shot a rifle shell through the front window and I went to the RCMP who told me there is nothing I can do until he physically injuries me.
And I should hide in the bathroom until they get there, which a 40 minute time.
I told them that I as not going down without a fight and that he would be dead by the time they got there. @ssH0L3S
