I didn't really sleep. Maybe I slept 2 hours at most. I woke up constantly because I wanted to do so many things! I feel great! At times like this I question whether or not anything was ever wrong. I called my friend at 5 am. I hope he didn't mind. I don't think he did. Hey, I did try to sleep so it's not like I didn't make an effort. I feel so alert without it though! I never took Klonopin. My pdoc told me to take it if I couldn't sleep or had too much anxiety but I don't feel anxious so I didn't take it. I want to do anything but sleep. I feel there's so much to do but so little time. Sorry if this post is irrelevant. I just felt like making it cause I think everyone here is awesome and I'm so glad I met you guys! Oh and lithium isn't making me nauseous anymore, really.

Hi Kitten, I couldn't sleep last nite either, even with my meds. So at 1am I got up, made a pot of coffee. Made some pasta. Wrote some emls. Played w my kitty. And went on the forum.

Pastel Kitten, Lithium will give you energy like you never had. If you need sleep i would ask to have the lithium cut back a little in dosage and your sleep should go back to normal. The Klonopin sedates you so being off that may be adding to your anxiousness of wanting to do something all the time. I love your avatar and i am so glad you are a member here at PC. You are special, remember that, that is why it is so important to see about adjusting your lithium back a little under dr. supervision so your rest will get better. tc and blessings

When I have this I usually have a manic episode coming. Just be on the lookout! Hugs!

Call pdoc asap! You may be heading towards a hypo/manic phase. Try a half of Klonopin if you're worried about taking it. If it doesn't work then take the other half. It's so important that you get some rest before you crash hard. I take 150mg of seroquel every night to sleep. Have you ever tried a sedating AP? It could help. You may need it right now too. As far as lithium goes, it's never given me energy but everyone's different I suppose. Good luck and get some rest. I hope you come down smoothly! Hugs.
Thanks for this!

I wasn't aware that lithium can give energy, but I did get hypomanic the first week I took it and recently my dosage was increased so maybe it's doing the same thing again? And thank you so much for the kind words! I will try to get rest tonight even though I honestly don't want to sleep at all.

I know I should be worried about the crash but I'm not, which I guess is another sign I'm hypomanic. My boyfriend says I have been since yesterday, but I didn't realize it. As for AP's, I was prescribed saphris a few weeks ago but I had a very bad reaction to it: severe restless legs, major anxiety, and insomnia. My pdoc concluded that I'm sensitive to AP's since I was also on risperadal years ago. I don't remember what it did, but it wasn't anything positive.

I know I should get rest but I really, really don't want to sleep. I've been working on a project the whole day and I've gotten so much done. I've been up for 36 or 37 hours now going on the little sleep I mentioned in my original post

I should really sleep but I have little desire to. I can feel my body's fatigue but my mind is so awake that I also don't feel it, at the same time. There is so much music playing in my head and it's amazing and I feel like food tastes more amazing today too! Thank you everyone for supporting me. I really am taking into consideration what you are saying. I'll have to force myself in bed tonight but I will make an effort.

I say (an unpopular opinion) if you can control it and use it in your projects (what type BTW!?) Go for it. If you are safe and all that of course
And if your not too worried about the crash
The way I look at it most us bipolars get depressed even if its not after hypo
So depression comes anyway
Take the good while you can and use it to fuel what makes you happy!

******again if you are safe and you sound safe****

Now the old king is dead! Long live the king!
One minute I held the key
Next the walls were closed on me
And I discovered that my castles stand
Upon pillars of salt and pillars of sand
Thanks for this!

I guess the only problem right now would be my sleep. It's an art project! I love drawing and singing. Thank you. I usually plug my energy into productive activities when I feel this way, or else I end up the way I did this morning - very pressured speech, disorganized thoughts, and restlessness
