Though I haven't gained weight on depakote I can't lose any. Even when taking those prescription diet pills. Which worked before I started depakote. I still have 30 pounds to go. My hips hurt from the extra weight I'm at my end.

So depakot is the first med I've been on for BD. It's wonderful but I feel the need to eat every few hours and crave sweets to distraction. Anyone have good results with both? One? My body is crazy with meds. All narcotics speed me up anti anxieties make me crazy and aleve and midol knock me out! I figure of the two work similar the topamax might work without the weight issue. Any thoughts?

No matter how small, a positive change deserves to be celebrated!
