So had appointment with my old pdoc today
He said because i am historically noncomplient ( which I guess, is true..unless I'm depressed then I go in begging for meds 'just make it go away!') He can only feel comfortable treating me if we can guarantee compliance So I just got the abilifye monthly shot? Has anyone else ever had this ? I have taken regular abilifye and it agreed with me as a medicine but I'm nervous about a monthly shot Thanks!

I had a Pdoc like that and I got mad and walked away. I was un-medicated a mess and ended up inpatent. I'd like to think if I had to do it over I'd try to work with him on finding meds I felt comfortable with. I was at one point on a monthly shot but have no idea what it was anymore.

I get invega as a shot once a month, no problems with it

It's hard because I feel like I can't control the dosage if I wanted too...that's the point I guess but its scary Naamu do you think I should have said no? I feel confused about it Thx moogs /bbird. Hopefully smooth sailing!

it sounds like you have only two choices ... be treated by a shot ... or not be treated at all ....

Sounds to me like your doc just doesn't want you to to play around with increasing and decreasing your meds on your own. I can see his side of it.

I guess there's nothing I can do but comply now lol Whoi knows this may be good for me  Hashimom this is one of the only ap that I don't gain on..hope stays that way! That's a deal breaker lol
