AD's (specifically SSRI's and SNRI's) by themselves always send me hypomanic. I'm on Wellbutrin now, which works well w/o any hypomania, and lamictal.

I'm confused. Are you bipolar? ADs make me manic. Well actually lexapro and Paxil, I was fine on. The above poster is on wellbutrin and lamictal which both made me manic too!

Trileptal 600mg BID
Buspar 45mg
Seroquel 150-300mg for sleep
Ativan 1mg PRN
Vyvanse 70mg
Risperdal 4-6mg PRN

I don't get msgs unless the other person using tapatalk app!
Thanks for this!

Dunno...always said we was, or somebody did. I take them because AD make like I drank a gallon of coffee while on adderoll.

I want to give up meds but I get depressed, then AD causes ultra-rapid or ultradian cycling.

We just added stabilizer to level out and they called me bipolar1 without much else.

Yeah I kept taking prozac and quit all other meds not too long ago (summerish) it made be totally unstable and off beat but I heard symphonies in the air and felt a special connection to God and all that good hypo jazz
I stayed on it until I realized I would never work again because as my dad put it "you are out of your tree"

Rx queen many ppl have good hypo or mania.classically its noted by euphoria unlike a mixed state so many ppl with bp chase it

True, but eventually you come down and it sucks. Are you on a AP? I've never had a AD that made me euphoric but gimme whatever you got! Lol. I happen to get dysphoric mania which is hell. It's nothing but extreme anger, agitation and sometimes rage. Then I end up doing or saying some really bad stuff and making an *** out of myself. But hey, if you're happy then that's good I guess. Just watch out incase you crash. You may be feeling good but it's really not healthy.

You know, I look back to the past and I can see that we're bipolarish in nature. We've had so many emotional/mental breakdowns that it was normal.

Plus with our being poly-fragmented, it's almost impossible to connect the dots- too many pieces missing.

Oh well, what does matter is that it works.

Many anti-depressants will cause a bipolar individual to become hypo/manic. It is important to also take your mood stabilizer
Thanks for this!

I take my meds because I don't want to suffer withdrawals that can be misinterpreted as a Psycotic break.
Last time I withdrew from meds on my own instead of being observed, I went into a deep psychosis. This let to ip with multiple ECT. And heavy doses of meds. I'm slightly afraid of husband and friends and family he has convinced that he is the savior and I am lost without meds.
