Recent diagnosis as Bipolar, so I have a question:

Does anyone else have a period of time where you're just in between moods? Like a transition mood I guess? A time where you feel more normal? If so, who long does it usually last for you? For me it's ~a day, two if I'm lucky.

I don't call that anything ...

Everyone cycles differently and it also depends if you have ever really had a good stretch of baseline/stability..... that would give you a starting point when comparing your mood status.

Mood can also be wishy washy based on situational stuff and just being a human being.

Do you chart your moods daily? If not you should....it can help to see if there is a pattern.

I call it asymptomatic.

Just like everyone, I have better days than others but this has very little to do with the disorder and more about life in general. I track my mood and if I see any patterned change (something that lasts more than a couple days) I am on the phone to my psychiatrist for a med adjustment. The length between episodes for me right now is quite long. I have maybe 2 major depressive episodes a year and they don't last very long.
