Do you ever wake up from a dream that just keeps you in such a horrible/depressed mood for the day? I'm already fragile, why does this happen? And my dreams the last few weeks have been absolutely crazy and make no sense, but they're incredibly vivid.

I've been having really weird dreams lately that have been putting me in a strange headspace throughout the following day. I'm not sure if it because I stopped drinking and starting taking lithium a couple of weeks ago or what but they've been really vivid and bizarre. Like for example, a couple of nights ago I dreamt that I was abducted by my grandparents and had to murder my own grandmother to escape -- is that disturbing or what??

Before I knew I was sick, I thought all of my dreams, good or bad, were prophetic. It put a lot of unnecessary pressure on me. I understand how you are feeling. It's so unfair!

I have recurring bad dreams.
I've done some work in this area and can now do Lucid dreaming. Like I'm the director of a movie.
Sometimes I get so exhausted. I wake in a huge cold sweat. Sheets and pillow cases wet. I'm out of breath.
But I rarely carry that mood thru the day. I dismiss those lingering bad feelings by the second cup of morning coffee.

Yes. Sometimes I have "screaming dreams". Basically something happens to me in the dream and I lose all self control and usually start screaming and crying and physically hurt someone. Generally ends with me getting chased by police/ems and carted off to the hospital. Those dreams **** me up for the whole day.

Now it's dreams of my husband, especially the ones where he is still alive.

If I have those dreams where I'm being chased and people are trying to kill, I have to wake myself. I get so scared I can't take it.

Luckily by the afternoon I'm usually ok for the most part. But it can can sometimes, unfortunately, set the tone for the day.
