PJ Harvey '50" Queenie' (cause thats how I feel when I am manic)
Amy Winehouse 'Back to Black' (know it's about love but the repetition of Black at the end reminds me of depression)
Smashing Pumpkins 'Soma' (the guitar solo sounds like a car out of control on a mountain road - like me when I am mixed)
Bonnie "Prince" Billy 'I see a darkness' (depression)
Nirvana 'All Apologies' (accepting yourself and saying goodbye)
The Pixies 'Where is my Mind' (yeh, where the **** is it?)

And, as you can tell, I could go on for hours. Music is my obsession.

Don't know if anyone mentioned it, but Cry for Judas by The Mountain Goats

Some things you do just to see
How bad they'll make you feel
Sometimes you try to freeze time
'Til the slots are a blur of spinning wheels
But I am just a broken machine
And I do things that I don't really mean

Long black night, morning frost
I'm still here, but all is lost

Speed up to the precipice
And then slam on the brakes
Some people crash two or three times
And then learn from their mistakes
But we are the ones who don't slow down at all
And there's nobody there to catch us when we fall

What a great thread! It's a long one -- so many people have posted their faves. Here's one that I sing -- it's about "advice" people give. It's a twisted song by Monty Python. The lyrics are on the screen here, too -- and there's a big twist in the middle of the song, so if you like the style go ahead and listen to it all.

I'm feeling like a lot of Strapping Young Lad lately. Skeksis, specifically.
