Latuda and depression

I've been on Latuda for a week now and am currently having a really bad day. I am so so depressed and wondering how long will it take for the med to work? So far the only thing it's done for me is make me really depressed.

What dose are you taking? I didn't notice a difference until I went up to 60mg. Of course if you read my prior thread, I had terrible akathesia. I was actually feeling mentally good but that was so horrible that I couldn't get off of it fast enough. However, several people have said that it's been a miracle for them!

So far no side effects other than sleeping well at night! I don't see my new pdoc until March 4th so hopefully I can make it until then. I saw your thread about the akathisia and that sounds so awful! I do sincerely hope that's going away.

I just now saw your dosage! Sorry! My pdoc said it's usually 60mg or 80mg that her BP patients are on. Can your doctor call in a higher dose for you before your appt?

No I got the script after an IP stay. I haven't met my new pdoc yet

I was put on 40 mg inpatient and bumped up to 80 2 months later, I know the fist couple of weeks I was so weepy, anything and everything made me want to cry. I am sleeping well in this but I do still feel like this black cloud is following me around. Just had pdoc appt today and she is saying we'll see how things are in 3 months...may end up adding something else. ??? I'm up in the air on my vote, note sure if I've given it enough time yet or not

I'm feeling much, much better today. It's officially been a week and I'm hoping that this med will work. Still three weeks until I see my new pdoc though!
