My moods were fluctuating tonnes - my pdoc put me on lithium (but he's not sure if I'm bipolar or unipolar), and my moods are finally very stable.

last month (before I took it, and was on anti-depressants alone) I used to go from quite happy and thinking life was great to thinking that life is horrible and barely being able to move.

Once I had friends of my parents over and I was really irritable. I went off on a rant about the environment and couldn't stop myself even though I knew I was going too far. Then I also was very irritable with a friend of mine and kept interpreting everything she said horribly - apologized for my behaviour...
Am I bipolar?

Im on lithium too, antidpressants made my swings worse when I was treated for depression.
There is a BP quiz on this site....give it a whirl....only a PDoc can actually diagnose BP.
I suggest reading as much about BP as there is different forms of the disorder as well.
May I ask what dose of lithium did doc put you on?

Celexa was one of the ad's I was on......watch and see ,if and if things get worse see your GP.
Just because celexa didnt work for me doesnt mean it wont for you.everyone is different.

Im on the same amount as you(litium) except mines called duralith...a slow release form of lithium.
Lithium tends to make one nauseous so eat first if you can.
