Do you spend disproportionate amounts on shoes because of mania?

And then I don't mean because of buying sprees.

I certainly do!

I bought two much-needed pair of shoes yesterday and it still hurts a bit if a walk with my heel, so I walk on tiptoe.

I just realise that that is a perfect to lose (I am now stable again, so alas, but next time!)

I just tiptoe with one foot and I walk even faster. Amazing!

Maybe all of you already knew this but I find it amazing!

Edit:
Ok, maybe not faster. I'm exhausted!

Yes...but it's shoes with clothes and accessories to accompany them. Ha !

Oh, how I have my way with words! It's a wonder I can even do things like ordering coffee.

Sorry I meant with "no buying sprees" no impulsive buying (as in impulsive for normal people ) at all!

I meant wear and tear. Totally worn-down shoes.

I am both glad you can keep a lid on it, Ocean, and that Cash has such fine taste and matching skills, though.

Just casually, I wear trainers always. I mean, like an umbrella in case of rain, in case of mania when I might not be home for long. Took me years to learn that that is what I need.

Maybe it's just me: I tend not to impulsively buy many shoes when manic (my bad), but only afterwards I need new trainers (or maybe even then that's what I tell myself). But often it's just because I need them. Totally worn out.

Let's call them my manic shoes.

Edit:
I also found out that I stopped mid-sentence in my original post (lose... yeah, tell us!). I meant to say it is a very good way (tiptoeing on one foot, not the other) to lose energy! Add that too your manic skill set! I have (don't know how well that mixes with manic drive, disinhibition and poor memory though).

I have a couple pairs of VERY high end handmade boots that I bought during manic times. They're awesome though so I don't mind.

Nah. I hate buying shoes. I hate clothes shopping too. And when I'm manic I have more important things to do, like save the world. Shopping just seems trivial.

I usually use thrift shops and it really keeps costs down. Goodwill has 50 % off every other week!

Once when manic I bought a pair of tall Uggs for $295. They were brand new for the season. I had a prior pair for $175 the short boots. I need a pair of workout shoes and I'm nervous about spending money. I don't wanna go overboard

So your back. And with shoes. Good to hear from you.
When I worked I wore Ballys and Maglis. Now 4 buck flip flops from Wally's World.
