Hi everyone, sorry for all the posts but right now I'm so confused I have no idea what to do. I am diagnosed as bipolar 2 rapid cycling mostly depressive with mixed episodes thrown in as well. For the past year I have been on several medications (over 10) and have yet to see a period of stability. I am now wondering if I have ultra rapid cycling or even ultradian cycling. I am current an emotional mess swinging from full on suicidal, crying, to anger, frustration and rage but also sometimes smiling and laughing. Just a casual remark can trigger me off. What the hell is going on? Is this another mixed episode? I just had one at the end of January. WTH. I am upping my dose of lamictin 150mg to 175mg and on topamax 150mg. I am on the lowest dose of geodon from 40mg to 20mg because of the severe anxiety it is causing me.
Hugs from:

Not great to be honest. I've been to 4 different hospitals in the last 2 years, 2 of which specialised in psychiatric care and it was no different to being in a normal hospital.

I'm sorry you're going through that. It might be worth going up to 200mg. Lamictal is one med that definitely messes with my emotions and makes me agitated when switching dose around, though that's temporary, of course. Does the Geodon help enough to make it worth it for sure? I could absolutely be wrong, but 3 mood stabilizer sounds like a lot to me. Also, I've heard people say fish oil/omega 3s are really helpful natural mood stabilizers, though I've never tried it consistently.
Good luck!

Thank you geodon is atypical antipsychotic so it helps for the mixed episodes

Post away, it makes you feel better.
Did you notice any change after first taking this meds?.
How long since you have slept.
Check the food you eat. Too much sweets can cause trouble.
Supplements?. Herbs?.

No not really, I always had severe anxiety on atypicals like abilify so it was no surprise when it happened while I was on geodon. It was only when I started titrating up the lamicital that I feel myself losing control.
