Hi My Family,

Every day when I wake up, I'm in panic. Sometimes from nightmares.
I stay in bed like for another hr or so, checking my body, my breathing.
Thinking I won't be able to make it thru the day.
I think of it as some kind of pseudomasochism, since five minutes after getting
out of bed I start feeling better.

Any ideas that can help?. Is this the worst time of the day for you too?.

No. Mornings are slightly energetic. Feed me. Feed cat. Feed dog.
Drink coffee.
Today I even watered the garden.

What can you try to prevent nightmares? Don't eat late at night. Take night Meds same time each evening.
Melatonin from health food store. Might put you in deeper sleep.
If it doesn't mess with your Meds.
When you have some extra money maybe see a hypnotist.
There's also a dream forum on here. There's this amazing guy called Thunder Bow. He interpurts dreams. Maybe there is something you're trying to process in your sleep.

My worst time of day usually switches around, either morning or late night.
When it's morning, it helps me to have a sort of loose ritual I do upon waking. I've had the problem with anxiety and negative thinking if I stay in bed, too. Try to make yourself get out of bed sooner, or at least sit up and start getting awake and less in your thoughts. I've also sometimes used mantras. When it's really bad, it helps me to visualize getting back to bed that night having made it through the day, knowing that no matter what happens throughout the day I'll live through it and be back there that night.
Thanks for this!

When I'm really depressed, that's how I wake up too every day. If I'm just kind of stressed, I wake up that way sometimes. Frequent advice is just to force yourself out of bed, it will get better. I haven't gotten that far but I have gotten used to it - that it's a feeling I know is going to go away because it's so predictable and shortlived so I try not to pay too much attention to it.

I really suck at mornings! I get out of bed and get a energy drink from the fridge. I depend on caffeine so much that I wake up with massive headaches that don't go away until I drink my caffeine. So I don't even like being talked to when I first wake up!

MI wise, I'm probably the worst, or more hypo as the day goes on so night time is when I'm most stressed out. And lately I've been having huge problems sleeping because of anxiety. I get tired and all but once I lay down I start thinking about everything that's going on in my life so sleeping with the TV on is a must. I try and listen to it to distract myself.
