went to doc tody b/c i have felt 'high' lately and was kinda concerned. he evaluated me for mood disorders (which i already have, simply stated as me having a mood disorder-no specifics) and ADHD. he upped my seroquel to 400 and added Adderral saying he thought i had traits of it. when i was leaving a nurse handed me an info sheet she said the doc wanted me to have...it was about bipolar disorder. so, my question is....all of this lead me to believe my doc thinks im bipolar. do u take it as that as well? plus, i never knew u could could be adhd and bipolar...

I don't think you have bipolar because i asked my doctor too for this that you say you have and he assured me that i don't have bipolar. Now,for ADHD,i don't know, but to have this you need to lose track of time, not to remember things that you have your maximum attention on them, not remembering things in a conversation and many more.Look for the symptoms of ADHD and if you find many of them, discuss this with your doctor to see what he will tell you.

I dont know too much ,but I do know that my daughter was dianosed as add as child ....but as late teens set in she was told no to add and yes to bp2.There are some common characteristics.
I dont think my doc would give ame a brochure to read about bp if he didnt think there was a good chance of me having it.

hope that helps

I have both bp and adhd, so they can and do occur together. There are some overlapping themes and it can be hard to separate one from the other. There is a wealth of info here and in other places on the web. Typing up a list of questions for the doctor can be very helpful and help you remember what you wanted to ask him or her. http://www.nimh.nih.gov/ is a great place to start looking as is http://www.dbsalliance.org/site/Page...pagename=home. Good luck.
