I was taking it at night for many years.
Then I read the 'net that is was activating, and switched to morning.
I'm spending the day in lethargy and maybe is from taking it in the morning.
Or could be the night meds: Trazodone, xanax and remeron.

Is it axtivating or sedating to you.

It really doesn't affect me one way or another.
Thanks for this!

For me it's mildly activating. I take it at night and it gives me a little pick me up. Not so much it makes me unable to fall asleep though.

I take equal doses in the morning and evening. I haven't noticed anything with it.

I think I'll try the split dose. If not, change it to the night.
Feeling tired all the time is not acceptable.

I was told that it was activating especially at low doses
It sure was for me, and not in a good way!

When I went up to 100, I had trouble sleeping. Pdoc advised me to switch to taking it in the morning and I was good. I would say it's activating.
Thanks for this!

I see so my many people on here that have had positive effects on this med but boy it made me very dysphoric/manic so I'd probably say it was activating for me. I'm pretty sensitive to activating meds.

But I've also heard of trazadone giving people a hangover type feeling. And mixed with your other night meds it could be having a residual effect the next day.

Rx,
Lamotrigine is better for depression than mania.
Traz hangover is bad. I'm cutting it slowly. I was at 150mg. Now 75mg.
Last night I avoided the last .25 xanax and have less panic now.
As you said, maybe it's the night meds. Thank you.

I take it in the morning and second dose in the evening. I've not noticed side effects myself.
