Is any one on tegratol and what do you think of it, I am taking Depakote but have gained so much weight and I also take Klonopin but want to switch to Valuim, Does it help with moods and Scitzoeffective

I take trileptal, tegretols cousin. It did help at first but in the past month or so I'm not doing my best. But it's a good option I'd say. Kept me grounded for awhile! And you do need labs (with trileptal at least) every few months. I don't think it can make you toxic or anything but they do the labs to make sure your at a effective dose.

I take the extended release form of tegetol called Equetro. I've been on tegretol since 2011 and I find it most effective for depression. I really like it. Remember to get your levels checked with a blood test while you're on it. Too much can be bad.
