I'm rx stelazine 1-2mg BD for agitation/anxiety, I've taken the 2mg dose this morning & im still agitated, I have seroquel 25mg tablets left from when I was taking them for sleep. Can I take one of these having already taken 2mg stelazine? I know I could probably Google this but I don't have the patience to read through too much.

Hello. There could be some risk of neuroleptic malignant syndrome. But 25 mg is tiny for seroquel. Good luck.

Yes. Actually I've heard (or read?) a lot of people say they're on two. I take risperdal 4-6mg (highest dose) for anger and dysphoria and seroquel 300-450mg for sleep. And like previous poster said, your on a very small dose. I would of course ask pdoc if you have any worries but I wouldn't worry too much. Besides, I don't think they would give you two if there was an interaction, unless you got it from two different docs and didn't tell them you were already on one. Edit: I have a medical app I use to look up meds. I checked the interaction. It says monitor at high dosage and increased sedation (figured that since its seroquel). So I would stick to taking it at night and yes, go over it with whoever prescribed it to you. But since the seroquel is pretty much the smallest mg you can be prescribed, (unless I'm wrong) I wouldn't worry TOO much. Good luck! The seroquel is left over from a previous rx from my original pdoc, right now I'm only rx stelazine but it's not sedating & I really need to go to sleep when I'm agitated & in a position to do so. But I did take it & it's helped, nothing weird happened lol

I've been on two APs for a couple of years now; it's not unheard-of for a person to be on multiple APs. Whether your particular two are any good together remains to be seen, but you should let your current pdoc know you're wanting to use the Seroquel as a PRN for sleep.
