I've been sick for most of the week and I decided to lay off the meds for a few days (with p-doc permission). I *definitely* noticed a difference - I was getting more uptight and irritable than I have been in the past few months. I could feel myself sliding back into the old habits and almost took one out on my family last night when they bothered me at the wrong time and made all sorts of unwelcome noise (a trigger for me).
At the same time, I was able to remember to seek some peace. The CBT is helping me catch myself but the boiling seems to be more of the same when I'm off my medication. Anyway, I'm going to catch up starting tonight and go from there. It will be sort of interesting to see my state of mind next week. |

I'm just curious as to how your psych meds effect your illness or cold you're having? I went two days without meds a few wks ago and became mixed. I tried to take myself off buspar cold turkey before and had a major panic attack. I just don't get how psych meds are effecting a cold, flu ect. But hey maybe I'm wrong. Maybe you're taking a cold med that will interfere with your meds. Who know. But I hope you feel better soon!

What kind of meds are you on? I randomly stopped taking lamictal and trazodone (without dr's permission) once and it set me off into mania.
