My previous Pdoc is a firm believer in Adderall for depression.
Never wanted me on ADs because I could go manic being BPI. Go figure.
I always filled the prescriptions but almost never took it. It's a nasty crash.
So I have a good stash waiting to be used.
2.5 mg, which is a ridiculously small amount activates me.

I brewed espresso coffee twice today. It has done nothing for me.
Maybe I need caffeine pills.

I have to drive 400 miles tomorrow and the only way to do it right now
is artificially enhanced. So what's your call.

Thank you for your help.

I'd take some caffeine tablets with you.

I would take the adderall. I can become focused while on that(while becoming a bit hyper) whereas ADs make me instantly insane. And caffeine does almost nothing to me anymore
Thanks for this!

I think I'm about blue in the face with how often I warn ppl about stimulants like adderall, vyvanse ect. Talk about hypo/full mania and dysphoria. I wasn't even aware that I got so bad until I lost my job! I should have went to IP I was so bad. I would stay far away from it. And for depression?! Well there's a thin line to mania if you do take it! Definitely a no in my book. Try the caffeine first! Plus, if you take it every day it loses its effectiveness and builds up in your system so your pretty much wasting it after the first day.

Feel free to PM me if you have the tapatalk app. If you don't have the app and want to msg me then let me know and I'll go on my safari. I don't feel comfortable giving all details right now.

I do have to say I didn't know they made adderall in that small of a dose. I've been on 25mg and am currently on 30 mg. That's interesting to know, but I'm not using it for depression and am using it for ADHD. I too, can't take ADs because I go crazy manic since I'm BPI as well.

I take my adderall everyday I work and never take it on Sundays (Unless I'm working... which happens here and there.). When it was the holidays I went 3-5 days without it and I've never had the crashing/withdrawal feeling from it. However, people are different and experience side effects differently so there's no saying what you'll feel.

If coffee and caffeine pills don't/haven't worked maybe the adderall will work. I'm a firm believer of giving things a try before writing them off. But if you don't feel comfortable taking them look for/ask about something else.

Best of luck on your drive and be safe.

I was on adderal at one time and it was making me manic, My doctor said the same thing it could be used instead of a A.D. I went into the hospital one time impatient and the doctor told me that adderal is just like taking crystal meth, I don't think you should mess with that personally, I would just stick to coffee, They also have drugs for ADHD that will not give you the stimulant effect, I hate being manic because when I get that way I go off the deep end, Please drink coffee and good luck

Just from my experience only, I've never even seen meth but I've msgd meth users on here and asked them what the comedown is like. And what happened to me is exactly what they described. They also said the same thing about the tolerance building up and you eventually, and quickly, need more and more. And from the articles I've read, vyvanse is often compared to meth or MDMA. It also drains your dopamine so when you come down your left feeling 3857 times worst! So you have to take more to avoid it. No wonder I lost my mind on it. Never again. And I also can't take ADs but I'd take the effects of the AD over a stimulant any day. You just have to find other ways to medicate. There's many meds out there. A lot of details that I'm leaving out but long story long, (Coffee or Adderall.) it ruined me.

A word about coffee. There is far more caffeine in a kitchen mug of coffee than your two espressos. Try a regular coffee perhaps.

The opinions are so divided that I will drink the coffee and will have the Adderall handy.
BTW, I get 2.5 mg from a 1/4 of a 10mg pill.
