My daughter is back to school after march break which means gettin up early again and walking her to school. I've been up since 4am because I couldn't sleep but I don't want to get out of bed. I feel empty, but sad and angry at the same time. The only thought that cheered me up is the idea of going to the mall after I drop off my daughter and spending money. I really shouldn't but now that I have the idea in my head, I doubt I'll talk myself out of it.
Also I have decided to definitely call my dr and make an appt to get back on meds. I didn't want to but I'm doing it for my kids. It's not fair to them to be this angry all the time.

Hi Melmo.
An idea. Instead of going to the mall, why don't you hit a thrift or consignment store?

Hi Melmo,

Mondays are tough on everybody. Specially when you have kids.
If spending money makes you feel better, do it. Just keep the receipts.
When you return without receipt more than three times, they ban you for a year.
I'm also the King of the Abandoned Cart. All in good fun.

I tend to buy food, then go home and stuff myself :/ it does work to make me feel better. Also has the unwanted side effect of weight gain.

I don't know of any places here that does that. They usually just don't let you return something without a receipt or they put it on store credit if tags are still attached

Case and point, Wally's world. They don't need the tags, just the UPC.
When I went to return the 4th fishing rod (slightly used), banned for a year.
In order to get the money or exchange, you need to show your ID.
Thats how they get you.

Must be different here, I have returned lots of things to Walmart (I keep thinking they're gonna say something) and no issues. I'm in Canada though.

I'm a huge fan of just window shopping or browsing. I touch everything. And walk about until I'm in a near-trance. I can get a little disoriented from all the stimulus, but I don't spend money I don't have budgeted. Hope you had fun, whatever you ended up doing.

I've tried without a receipt a few times. The only time they usually do it is if the tags are still attached or is a store brand (I guess so they know they sold it and immoral returning something from another store.)

Maybe I'll try that. I spend too much money.
