I bought some great cheese from a nearby city yesterday.
I'm going to prepare one of my favorite dishes. Candied onions, red bell peppers butter and sharp cheddar with pasta!

I have a little Amoretta, so a little liquor.
Might even shave!
Wish I could get motivated to do some Watercolors. I'll try.
What about you? What plans for this weekend?

Honestly, I kind of hate Easter. It's usually a very boring day for me. I typically play on my laptop all day since I have nothing better to do. (Everyone else has plans and I don't... so I stay at home.)

I actually wanted to attend a boxing class at my gym on Sunday, but the gym closes early, and as a result, my class isn't being offered. So I guess I'm a little sour about that...

Miguel will find his basket. He may go to an Easter egg hunt. Spend time with my extended family.

My mom, lil bro, oldest bro, sis-in-law, and nephews will be over for brunch around noon. Then my mom and lil bro will go home, and the rest of us go over to my dad's house for dinner.

My husband and I will go to the 11 AM Mass and then come home to Easter dinner prepared by our son and son-in-law. Our oldest son who lives an hour away will also be with us. No egg-dyeing or Easter baskets this year though...grandkids are now in Vermont, we're in Oregon, no reason to do the old traditions. Makes me sad in a way. I miss the egg hunts at our big old house in the woods. I miss my grandsons too.

are you Italian Skeezyks? My mom makes the Traditional Easter pies with the ricotta and rice. Pannatone is also a traditional treat. Just wondering. Do you know what torrone is? Or toblerone?

It's going to be a quiet weekend here because my husband is working. I'll go visit my sister in the nursing home on Saturday or Sunday, and take her presents.

Quiet here too. Caretakers gone home to celebrate.
I already ate all of my candy.
Had my last ocean swim , but made it a good one, 90 min!
Plus had my dog at beach. That was cool.
So just a kickback time.

Going with my husband & kids to his family gathering. I love seeing his one sister and her family, but most of the rest of this grouping (particularly all together) are triggering to me. There's nothing but stressful, eleventy-seven directors and no consensus on whose plans to follow to get things done, and horrific communication, despite the fact that no one shuts up. Not horrible people, just a lot of behaviors that REALLY stress me out.

Also, my husband's aunt is going through chemo right now. We'll be seeing her, but this all came to light in the past couple of months, and the prognosis isn't good. She probably won't make it through the summer. She's a family focal figure. Dealing with the idea of her imminent death while she's still there and alive and with us is going to be pretty hard. I generally think encouraging sentiments are comforting - hopeful things, wishes for strength, etc. None of that seems appropriate in her circumstances. At a loss for what to say to her...and she's the youngest of that generation - devastated for her, her husband, their kids/grandkids, and my husband's entire family.

I was too down and too broke to make plans. No egg dying or making baskets this year. To my delight my son bought a lamb roast and we'll make that for dinner. What do we do for sides?

I had no idea Easter was coming until just now. Unfortunately, making plans doesn't work well with my life right now. Too many potential with the health of myself and various family members. If all goes well, I will spend with immediate and extended family...... have a good dinner together. That is what we usually do and is most fun and ideal.

My daughter will be with her mother. I hope she will be happy. I do not know what I am going to do for my mother and I. Perhaps take her out for dinner? A drive around to settle both our nerves?

This Easter I'll be trying to break the record I set last Easter for the number of brightly-colored hard-boiled eggs I'm able to simultaneously suitcase.

What are your Easter plans?
