So I've had a bit of an issue for over a year now. After being on birth control for ages, I stopped taking it but never got my period back. I've been to two different doctors and both tried this hormone that is supposed to jump start your cycle. Both times were a fail, even after the highest dose. My dr then said it was probably the shock of stopping the pill and just "post pill amenorrhea". Well it's been a year and still nothing. My Gyno did do blood work that came back normal. (TMI coming) Well my bf and I haven't been using any form of birth control this whole time (welcoming a pregnancy if it happens) and I have not gotten pregnant. I'm really starting to worry. We're past the point of "trying" for now so on Monday I have an appointment to get back on the pill so I can at least have regular periods again. Not that I missed it or having to buy tampons lol. I'm starting to wonder if my psych meds are making me infertile and keeping me from having periods? Like really worried here. I read an article that names risperdal as a culprit of infertility so I've only been taking it PRN for anger and dysphoria. I'm not having any side effects that would point to any overproduction of prolactin. I think I'm going to call my pdoc tomorrow and request a blood test for this just to be sure.

Has anyone else experienced problems conceiving or with their cycles from their meds? Will this go away when (if) I get off meds? I really do want kids some day and I'm not getting any younger here.

I'll list my meds incase that helps.
Trileptal 600mgs bid
Buspar 45mg a day
Risperdal 2-6 mgs PRN (maybe a few times a month)
Ativan 1mg PRN

Please, any suggestions or likewise experience out there?
