I usually wake up after about 4 hrs sleep, starving.
Because I'd been to store I had pretzels and cookies here. Well, not anymore. Just call me Miss Piggy!

I wonder if I halved my Seraquel, would I only be 1/2 as hungry?
This is terrible.
I'm ok in the daytime, hungry but I control it.
What am I going to do? Crap.

I don't want guilt to motivate me. I'm actually striving to be guilt free.
I'm on my own here, but when I'm around my husband he trys to guilt me into doing things. It's miserable. Reminds me of my mom.

No, I need to work on positive reinforcement. Positive thinking and affirmations.

Do you take the seroquel for sleep?

If so, maybe there's a different med you could try, like trazadone. That doesn't make me hungry. And I wake up feeling fantastic. I hate seroquel. That made me hungry too and I always woke up feeling like ****.

For now, you could try picking healthier snacks. For example, instead of pretzels and cookies, try an apple or a banana.

Also, try a hot beverage, like coffee, tea, or hot cocoa. Sometimes that works for me. Oatmeal works great, too.

It doesn't solve the eating problem, but it'll slow down the weight gain. (It sounds like you can't really avoid the hunger side effect anyways.)

Set up healthy snacks and don't keep junk food in the house.... not that it'll stop your snacking, but perhaps it'll cut down the calorie intake.

When I was on Seroquel, I used to wake up in the night and cook entire meals.... I got off that stupid drug completely.

Yes. When I haven't been to the store in awhile,I'll have a mango.
Or banana.
But sometimes it isn't enough. I can't get back to sleep without carbs.

I like the idea of tradnasone. Is it like my Temazepam? I'll look it up.

No. It's an old, very sedating AD (not an SSRI).

Ok. Thanks Rasberry. I'll mention it to Pdoc when I see her in May.

Peanut butter is a downfall you and I both share !
