I just spent a long, frustrating time trying to fix my Facebook page. It made me a little manic.

Then I responded to an invite to my friend's brother's birthday party on there. He is gay and throws these huge, wild, nightclub birthday bashes, so he's not shy.

But, when I posted on the event wall, I went to put an emogee, and found one that said I was attending the queen's birthday, and I posted it. I hope he thinks it was funny and not too obnoxious.

Fishing is #1 for me but I also love to be in the water so swimming,
snorkeling and just relaxing in the water all work for me.

I don't see how doing something makes you manic. Bipolar makes you manic not hobbies. Doing things you like makes you happy, not manic. Not everything is mania, we are people with feelings just like the "normal" people.

I have always felt "up" after flying west. And when I had my first bout with mania, I was staying in a hotel in a high up floor. So I'm wondering if going up and down on the elevator had anything to do with what put me over the edge.

Also during manic times, I like to sort things too. Like I will spend hours or days sorting Pokemon or Magic cards. But the last time I got into that, my husband told me to stop after a few hours, so I haven't messed with them much since then.

Mania is scary though. I wouldn't want anything to help me feel it more.

Haha, this thread leads me to believe I'm possibly BP1 and not BP2. Maybe I've been underestimating the degree of instability in my mind, because when I'm hypo I am pretty insane.

Nothing makes me feel that way except a certain economically inefficient drug from the cocoa plant, and sometimes sleep deprivation. Oh by the way don't try this at home because you'll die sooner. Keep your brain healthy. I am just an idiot.

I tried to say a little manic, to describe the feeling.

When I get this way, I do have similar traits. It's probably triggered by adrenaline pumping through my system, activating brain chemistry.

For purists I could just call it a high, compared to the low of depression.
Didn't mean to confuse you.

Hi Espurr.
I used to sort my Barbie clothes and shoes and stuff.
Once during a Real Episode,I bought 200 Barbies. My reasoning was a missed childhood.
I did have a Barbie collection my grandma got me and added to it.
But I wanted snow skiing lessons and my real mom made me sell the whole collection to pay for the lessons. Bit@h.
Then the family moved to CA. And while there are nearby mountains,I didn't learn to ski.
When I was a grown up I took cross country skiing lessons. Loved it.
