How would you finish a sentence starting with "BP is..." which fully covers the essentials (and particulars) of BP?
Let's make this into a game: you start with 0 points, you get points added for every "Thanks for this!" your post with your sentence receives (one point for each) and points deducted for every (nested) verb-phrase (including infinitives), (present/past) participle or gerund in your sentence (main verbs, written or implied: not auxiliary verbs; 1 for each phrase)—excluding the first copula is. You can enter multiple sentences in the competition: from the one with the highest score for any one contestant, a point will be deducted for each additional sentence you have entered in the race. "Hugs" are (just) for encouragement. Bets on the winner are taken: 1 divided by the number of bets on your chosen sentence is multiplied by your highest points for any of your sentences or the score of your only sentence, or 1 if you haven't entered any sentence, and added to your highest score or otherwise (only if you haven't entered any sentence, 0—minus 1 point for each sentence already entered. If you wanna bet, just create a post like "I wanna bet on..." in this thread. No other influencing of the referee or bookie. There is one referee, bookmaker and scorekeeper: me. There will be running commentary. Plagiarism is reason for disqualification, at the referee's discretion. The race ends on the 21st of March, 2016, at 1:00 pm GMT/UTC. Let the game begin! Good luck. ![]() ![]() Edit: Scores can be negative.

I'll start (I will play fair): "BP is a highly changeable, often uncommon perception coupled with impulsive and intuitive, goal-directed activity."

BP is a roller coaster that brings you high upon its rails, allows you but a
glimpse of heaven then sends you crashing into the depths of hell and all the while the ride never stops and you can never disembark.

Welcome to the live coverage of the bi-weekly Bipolar Games from the BP forum at PC.
And we're off! Three contestants have already entered the race and they've started off with a slow, steady pace.

Those in attendance of the race seem to be very supportive of Ocean Swimmer, the controversial all-round player.

The game hasn't really sprung to life, yet.
Fishing fool has entered the race with a high-stakes bid.

The rest of the contestants are more conservative in their play.
The players still take it slow, maybe trying to find momentum in the somewhat quiet crowd watching the game. Lots of empty seats still.

The course and betting ring are still rather empty. Four runners, no punts as of yet. I'd say two real all-outs. Fishin' fool taking the lead!
Only time will tell if this is gonna be a race to remember, here at the fortnightly, much-anticipated Bipolar Games.

BP is at times a walk in the park, at times a free fall from 30,000 feet with no fear of death -- pure exhilaration -- and yet at other times a dark hole out from which one can't climb or even find a foothold.

BP is a quest of questioning your identity, whether you were ever genuinely happy or it was just bipolar.

Four more contestants have entered the race and it is really becoming a fun race to watch.
Pirilin seems to be the favourite for now seeing how she has almost no handicap compared to Fishin' Fool, but for the moment Fishin' Fool remains in the lead. Angry1541 has a major handicap and is really behind the rest in the race together with hopeless2015, what's in a name, Ocean Swimmer and Icare dixit. Thinks may really change when points are deducted and added based on bets and (reverse) handicap, after the game ends.

bbTofu, please change your sentence or you will be disqualified: it should really start with "BP is...". Those are the rules and they are very strict. I won't suggest any changes to keep things fair, but it shouldn't be too hard.

Ripose has also entered the race, but doesn't seem really at ease. We'll see how this will play out.
Icare dixit is using two strategies, his latest being to play far more conservative.

Bipolar is, the personification of an oxymoron.
It's the best worst time of your life, or the worst best time of your life. Depending on your experience.

Bipolar is, a mental and emotional ocean.
Just like the ocean, the waves ebbs and flows, and when our tectonic plates shift just the right (wrong) way, we experience tsunamis, which sometimes destroys whatever was in its path.
