I'm currently on clonopins, lamictal, prozac and seroquel. I suffering from bipolar depression and mania. I also have horrible horrible pmdd. So my psychiatrist put me on prozac to help with my really bad depression that I get around that time. We'll I notice it really isn't helping me anymore... I don't want to continue putting some chemical in my body if it's doing me no good. Did anything work better or good for you? I see her today and plan to try to switch. Tia

Other than Meds, what helped me is Sunshine.
Fresh papaya,coconut,pineapple and mango.
Pets help a great deal. I meditate to my kittens breathing while she sleeps. Taking dog for a walk.
Keeping clean. I cut my own hair just the tips spit ends. Painted my nails.
I change the sheets every 3 days.
That's what helps me with depression, besides Meds.

Hi there. It will help to know how much and for how long have you been taking your current meds.
I'm sure the girls will chime in to share their experiences in the part that I can't.

I'm not a doctor, but it sounds like you may need to tweak your prozac dosage or possibly try a new antidepressant altogether. I mean, prozac isn't working for you, so something about it needs to be changed.

I'm on Lexapro right now. It doesn't have weight gain associated with it. A lot of people here like Wellbutrin, but I've never tried it.
