My depression started last June when my pdoc and I wanted to go off Venlafaxine and try fluoxitine(I felt the best on it but that was 15yrs ago). Well I have been suffering every since then. I went back to my old dose of van and had Abilify added to my meds. No change. Scratched Abilify and tried Latuda. Developed hives at 40mg. Stopped that tried 300mg of quetiapine at night. It knocked me out for 9hrs. I liked that vs waking 2 or 3 times a night. But it has barely affected my depression. I've been on it since the end of January. I can't deal with all the family problems and financial difficulties among other issues I need to deal with sooner rather than later. Do I call my pdoc and tell him this just isn't enough improvement. I've always been a "take the least dose" kind of person but right now I want out of this hell! The meds I take are:

Venlafaxine 150mg x 2
Lamotrigine 150mg x 2
Quetiapine 300

Levothroxine .88mcg (post op thyroidectomy)
Atenolol/Clorthalidone 50/25
Simvastatin 20mg

Gained alot of weight resulting in high blood pressure and cholelestorol.

Are you in therapy? Meds wont help with environmental problems but do call pdoc and let him know your not doing well.

Hello otherg: The Skeezyks can't really comment with regard to the particular med's you're taking. But, yes, call your pdoc. I'd have to say personally none of the psych med's I've ever taken did me much good. So I don't have a lot of faith in them. But one thing is for sure. If you don't tell your pdoc what's going on with you, he for sure can't help. I wish you well...
