Hello folks!:

Went from a 10 month black hole depression, to a few hours of mania yesterday.
What a feeling. Honestly, God created mania and depression, is the devil's doing.

Today started at 3AM. The magic beans lost their power early. I'm not helping either.
I refuse to give up the little terrain I've gained.
I was hoping for at least a little sniff from the residuals. To no avail.

In my wisdom while manic, I promised to do a few chores that have killed me dead.
Have gone to bed a couple of times and no dice. No pill no sleep.
My skin is dry and has little bubbles, I think is the lithium.
My mouth is dry. Hears plugged. Minor cuts and bruises here and there. Mostly there.
Ah, but it's the inside that matters. Chills and spills all over my arms and legs.
My solution:
It would be great if someone would let me have..............................THE WHOLE NINE YARDS.

Piri.

So sorry you've had such a rugged day.
Know you get your lithium levels checked but any possibility they're too high?
You can get toxic without a dosage increase. At least that's what we were always told when my son took it. Also had a friend who was on & off it for years & did get toxic.
This may sound lame but any chance you have the flu or some kind of infection?

Hope tomorrow is a better day.
Thanks for this!

Hugs! It may also have to do with the weather changing. That really affected me when I was first diagnosed. My skin overall is dryer than what it was before I started taking medicine.

Today is a better day indeed. Thank you.
Lithium tends to dry the skin regardless of dosage. It's the rough skin that has me worried. Maybe a visit to the dematologist.
My levels are both at the minimun. 600mg intake and .5mmol/L. serum.
The secret is to drink a lot of water and have a decent salt intake.
Coffee can lowered too. But then I wouldn't be at a therapeutic level.
Thank you for your concern.

Thank you. Hugs 2U2.
I live in South Florida. Practically the weather doesn't change here. Boring.
The change in my skin has been after the lithium. The other meds either don't affect my skin or my body is used to them.
Thank you for your reply.

I'm hoping you can get a handle on your mood and feel less and less depressed.
Remember you're a great guy.

I like that you didn't have a handle on your mood and posted anyway. Good stuff.
Thanks for this!
