I know we had a lyrics thread, but I felt a lot of the lyrics posted were sad. I kept on posting on links to songs, and even my daughter said they were sad (it was, "That's a sad song, momma!" and "That song is sad too!").

Anyway, so if you're in a happy, sunny place right now, what songs reflect your mood or view of life, at this moment?

Mine is:

Cardinox - On my Way

(My daughter and I sing this song at the top of our lungs. Lol! Because we're not gonna stop, and nothing's gonna get in our way. Haha!)

...

I’M GONNA FACE
ALL OF MY MISTAKES
THIS TIME I’M ON MY WAY

I’M SEEING THINGS SO DIFFERENTLY
I’M LEARNING THAT I’M NOT WHERE I WANT TO BE
BUT TRUST ME I’M ON MY WAY
ON MY WAY

AND I’M NOT GONNA STOP, GONNA STOP, GONNA STOP
I’M DRIVING THROUGH THE NIGHT
WITH THE TANK ON EMPTY
I’M NOT GONNA STOP, GONNA STOP, GONNA STOP
I DON’T KNOW WHERE I’M GOING
BUT THIS ROAD WILL TAKE ME
I’M STARING AT THE STARS, I GOT MILES AHEAD
I SEE THE FIRE BURNING BUT I’M NOT THERE YET
AND I’M NOT GONNA STOP, GONNA STOP, GONNA STOP
NOTHING’S GONNA GET IN MY WAY

Although not indicative of my mood, this is one of my happy songs.

The Monkees - I'm a believer

it's nothing to do with the lyrics it's the rhythm/music: Slade "Run Runaway" Slade - Run Runaway (HD 16:9) - YouTube

have no idea if that link will work I suck at posting stuff like that

And then there's this little diddy:

Ani Difranco - Hat Shaped Hat

in walked a man in the shape of a man
holding a hat-shaped hat
he held up two fingers and said 'how many fingers?"
and i said 'Peace man, that's where it's at"
i said you are what you do in order to
prevent becoming what you're busy not doing
and if you do do it truly
then you arrive at it newly
then in the end you are absolved
and the problem of heaven is solved

and the man broke into a smile,
like he was breaking into a song
and he was broken and smiling
and i was singing along
and we agreed completely agreetly about most things
'til the sun set sweetly
like it does in those paintings
the ones they hang in hotel rooms
the ones they bolt to the wall
as though anyone would want to steal them at all

we talked like children without breathing
'til i stopped this lady as she was leaving
and i said 'excuse me,
but do you know what time it would be
if we were on mars ?'
and she held up her hand
like a crossing guard stopping the cars
and she said
five in the morning

in walked a man
in the shape of a man
holding a hat shaped hat

though i hate this song with every single inch of my being (and more)

pherell williams- happy

i hate the lyrics, and i hate the beat

but some people would think that song is really happy
my happy song- is always have, always will by ace of base (just a good sing along song)

and oh my god!. anything by the swedish dj e-type, especially " i'm flying", and " once in a lifetime"

last man standing's not bad either- also by e-type

infernal- from paris to berlin

scooter- the logical song

anything dance...?

Santeria by Sublime.

It's not really a 'happy' song per say.. but the beat ahh the beat and lyrics, make me so happy I almost always have to sing along, something I'd listen to while cruising on a sunny day.

Front Porch Swing Afternoon by Jamey Johnson

This song is kind of my happy place. I love to listen to it with my eyes closed and let the imagery take over.

I don't know if it's about being old, but I don't know most of them either!
