Ongoing stress = long episode?
How long is "long"? Seems like we all have such variance. Surely, regardless the level or length of stress, one will eventually crash and burn, right? |

Stress definitely causes episodes for me, and in my case has increased the severity and longevity of episodes. Work stress is a major trigger for me.

It was both being under stress and fear of humiliation that caused a psychotic break 3 1/2 years ago. I was not medicated at the time and my manic episode turned mix episode (it was hard to know one from the other) lasted from March to Oct (according to my mother it started even earlier than march).
Since then, my moods can either be triggered by things such as charismatic Christians and fluctuations in my hormones or they can just occur without a trigger.

No sleep is my biggest fear. Anyone would go mad after a week without sleep!
