Has anyone taken this med in the evening and had after effects that lasted a good part of the next day? I am thinking of having the pdoc change this med to something else.

Are you taking it as a prn? Can you take it earlier? I take it as a prn so the grogginess is welcomed.

I have to take it every day. I have tried to take it a couple hours before bedtime. I still have this hangover problem. I am thinking of temporarily reducing it for a couple days just to see what happens. Then I will inform the doctor of the results. I need to function because I take care of my mother.

The higher the dose the less sedating it is. I know that sounds backwards but it's true. 15-30 mg knocked me out; 45-60 mg worked wonderfully with no side effects.

Is this the same drug as Remeron? If so, I take it. I definitely have a hangover the next day but I'm not certain that this is the drug to blame. When you are taking 7 drugs and started them in multiples for the most part, it is impossible to know what is causing what.

Anyway, I hope it works out for you. Let us know if this is the drug causing you trouble and what your pdoc does to remedy it.
