Has anyone had good luck with this drug? My insurance has rejected my Formulary Tier Exemption Request for them to cover Latuda. I'm trying to appeal that, but I want to be prepared in case I have to switch meds. I hate this because Latuda has worked SO well for my anxiety. Stupid insurance.

How much is Latuda? I get all my meds at Sam's club and only some are covered, but all are reasonably priced without coverage using my Plus membership. It may be worth looking into. For example one of my meds was $130 at walgreens and like $25 at Sams. ******** right?

I love Invega. It has been a life saver for me. I haven't had a manic or mixed episode since I started it in 2014. I have no side effects other than possible raised prolactin. It causes breast enlargement, breast milk production, and skipped periods. But since I'm not planning to get pregnant (ever again) I don't care about those side effects. The medicine works so well I'm just not willing to switch it to anything else. Unfortunately it doesn't tackle depression for me. I've still had some nasty depressed episodes. That's why I'm on the emsam. But it was the mixed episodes and psychosis causing the most trouble so I'm thankful that is taken care of.

Edit: oh yeah, the shot hurts like hell for a couple of days afterward. But I just take Advil and it's fine.

Latuda is about $800 at Costco and $1,200 at Walgreen's. They NEED to make a generic available.
