I've been depressed for weeks. It's been really bad. So I finally go see my pdoc -- after cancelling twice and incurring a fee -- and we talk about stuff. Yes, I needed to increase my Brintellix. But wait! Did you know that you need to take Brintellix with protein or it'll tear up your stomach? Did you know that to make Geodon work better you need to take it with 500 calories?

In other words, eat with these medications if you want them to work, and be specific about what you eat. Why don't the pharmacists know this stuff?

I take synthroid too, so I get to fit that in with the psych meds. Fun, isn't it?

I don't trust pharmacists or doctors when it comes to taking your medication.

I always get a little pamphlet stapled to each prescription medication I get... So, Latuda has one, Lamictal has one, Lexapro has one, etc.. The pamphlets usually say how you're supposed to take your medication, and they list all the side effects etc..

My pdoc (who is a complete idiot) said that I need to take Latuda with at least 600 calories. Well, the pamphlet says you only need to take it with 350 calories.

Haha yeah. When my pdoc said I had to take Latuda with 600 calories, I was skeptical. That's when I noticed the pamphlet and decided to read it.

Most people don't think about reading the pamphlet
