I titrated off Lexapro due to side effects. I was originally on Zoloft for 20 years (!!) but it finally quit working.

So my only anti-D is Wellbutrin. I'm one of the few Bipolar 1 folks that can take an SSRI - with a mood stabilizer, of course.

I'm getting depressed, unfortunately. I'm not suicidal but not feeling well. I see pdoc in two months although he said call me if I need him. For myself, I only call when I'm really on the edge....like barely lucid or strong suicidal ideations.

Maybe I'll be ok just on Wellbutrin 300mg? I have not titrated off an SSRI since Zoloft and that was when I went on Lexapro.

I've never titrated off an SSRI and then didn't go on a new one.

Any feedback?

Lexapro made me very tired and hungry. The only SSRI that works is Prozac. I take gabapentin 800mg 3 times a day as well

One time my pharmacy couldn't fill my Lexapro Rx because they ran out of Lexapro, and unfortunately I was leaving for vacation in 1 hour, so I was screwed.

Within 2 or 3 days of not taking Lexapro, I got horrible brain zaps.

I would go really slowly... maybe 2.5 mg at a time to be honest. When I've gone down by 5mg, it was horrible.

I am sorry Zoloft pooped out and Lexapro had too many side-effects.

Why wait to call? It may be possible to try another med before your next appt?

I'm on Viibryd now. If found a lot of the SSRIs have bad side effects for me. There's like only three ADs I'm supposedly compatible with. Unfortunately they're also ones with no generics and thus expensive to get.
