This post will sound pretty whiny, so you might want to skip it.
There's no doubt that I am feeling better. So wth do I do with my time? Before you jump in, I have some limits. My husband works PT, and he'd pretty much have to take me anywhere as I have driving anxiety. He doesn't necessarily want to commit to anything. Here are some things I do: go out for breakfast or lunch with friends, go to a women's support group, go to a bipolar support group, talk once a week with a prayer partner, do devotional and meditate, see 2 therapists and my pdoc, go to church, go to yoga twice a week, long walk once a week, gym once a week, cook 3 times a week (for 5 people), quilt (altho it's getting boring), write a weekly blog, listen to audio books. I also volunteer by collecting stuff from church for a homeless senior center. This might sound like a lot, but I still have long stretches of time with nothing to do. Today I got up, took a shower, and did my devotionals. That lasted till 9am. Now I have nothing to do till 4 when we are going to a baseball game. I wonder if I am getting hypo. I also hate to commit to too much volunteer stuff in case I crash. I am on both private and SSDI disability. The private disability will not let me make any money at all. What do you guys think? I hope I didn't come off as a whining *****. ![]()

You sound busy by my standards. What about spring cleaning and organizing? Books on tape are fun also.
You are definitely not whiny. i'm in the same boat so will be keeping an eye on this thread for ideas. |

Elsa,
I listen to books on audible.com. As for spring cleaning, I am pretty organized. My husband is too. He is the "collector" and anything to be thrown out would be his stuff which I am not touching. We just went through the kitchen and pulled out quite a bit for a church garage sale. I really appreciate you reading and answering. Maybe we can get some good ideas on here. Being baseline normal or even mildly elevated is such a change for me.

Yeah, I got nothing then. Hopefully people will have some good ideas. Thank you for asking the question.
Do you know how to knit, crochet or sew? do you enjoy crafts? Maybe get some old photos together and make a cool scrapbook? |

Hello lilypup: Wow, you sound busy to me! We have a dog but we don't have a yard. So we take him for at least 2 good walks every day. This takes up about an hour & a half total each day. I'm a home bread baker. Most days I'm either mixing up a recipe or baking it off. Plus I also do quite a bit of the general cooking. Then there's cleaning to do although we live in a townhome so there's not a ton of that. Plus there's no yard work to do. I used to play some music & read. But I don't do either one anymore... I've just lost interest. I don't have any regular appointments anywhere. Beyond that, I spend a lot of time here on PC... (maybe too much?) That's pretty-much it for me... oh... & during the evenings I watch the British mystery series they show on our local PBS TV station. That's about it for me...

lol If you think you could hold down a job then I would go for that. Working is more rewarding than not working IMO. bizi |
